Memorial Scholarship

Frances Holdbrooks dedicated her career to transforming educational opportunities for children and families, serving the Lindsay Unified School District with exceptional leadership and heartfelt commitment. As the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, as well as Director of Preschool and Migrant Education – roles she impressively held concurrently – she championed high-quality learning environments that uplifted every student. It is because of Frances Holdbooks that Lindsay Unified was awarded status as its own Migrant Region. Lindsay Unified learners and families still benefit from her commitment to this day. Long after her retirement, her passion for service continued. The Frances Holdbrooks Memorial Scholarship honors her vision, devotion, and unwavering belief in the power of education to change lives.
